Welcome to the Kurdistan National Congress Website. The Kurdistan National Congress (KNC), as the supreme institution representing the political will of Kurdistan, is established at this historic juncture to end the state of national fragmentation and establish the unified will of Kurdistan. The KNC is a self-constituting (Xwesaz) and self-originating (Xwêserçave) entity that derives its legitimacy solely from the absolute, immutable will of Kurdistan for state-building and the attainment of full sovereignty over our sacred territory. The Congress operates as a de facto parliament-in-exile, drawing its philosophical and legal foundation from the Zagon, the Constitution of the Republic of Kurdistan. The KNC is mandated to implement the Active Defense Doctrine in the intellectual and political spheres, aiming to shift the equation of struggle from the phase of being a historical victim to the phase of a history-making Agency.
